Bhopal Gas Tragedy is one of the worst industrial disasters in the history of independent India that has impacted lakhs of people in the state and continues to impact normal life in the state even after 27 years. The task was to provide employability linked training to families of the victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy, thus making their lives mainstream.

Centum Learning entered into collaboration with the Directorate of Gas Relief & Rehabilitation to train and skill the family members of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy victims. Candidates in the age group 18-35 were trained for this programme. The training programme uses a good balance of classroom learning combined with role-playing, hands-on experience, videos, PowerPoint presentations and other such learning tools to make it simple and effective for the candidates to grasp the material being taught.

Centum Learning has set up Skill Development Centers in Bhopal to provide training to the Bhopal Gas affected beneficiaries. To reach out to the maximum number of candidates, Centum Learning works in close coordination with community gender resource centers and district officials and mobilize candidates to participate in pre-training melas. Candidates between the ages of 18-35 were selected for this programme and trained across the following sectors: Retail & Telecom Sales for a duration of 45 days. Centum WorkSkills does not stop at just skilling and training selected candidates but also assists certified candidates with both pre and post-placement assistance.
