Ideal Candidate Profile (Essential Attributes)

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in undertaking social research esp. need assessment, baseline survey, evaluation studies, impact assessment, participatory planning etc.
  • Proven ability in producing high quality and analytical reports
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative methodology of study – data collection, data analysis and visualization
  • Good writing and analytical skills
  • Good communication (speaking and writing) skills in English. Reading & speaking ability in Hindi
  • Multi-tasking & time management skills
  • Networking, partnership and collaboration skills with proven ability of having strategic partnership/s.
  • Required functional knowledge – Social Research (assessment studies), Project Designing (participatory planning process, LFA, RBM, Theory of Change)
  • Should have led research assignments

Other Attributes (Desirable)

  • Experience of collecting data through CAPI device/digital means. Use of Atlas.ti, SPSS etc. tools for data analysis
  • Team building skills with proven ability of nurturing & mentoring teams in the past.
  • Experience of preparing/writing winning proposals for CSRs/government tenders/multilateral development agencies.
  • Ability to build in best practices and innovative approach in work stream
  • Good connects in the social sector esp. with the CSR, philanthropic organizations, institutional donors, NGOs etc.
  • Past publications/published articles etc.

Key Responsibility Areas

Business Development (30% of the time)

  • Assist in preparing growth strategies and plans for the research vertical
  • Build and manage relationships with social sector clients – CSR, philanthropic organization, international agencies, government. Ensure upselling and cross selling
  • Assist towards End to end BD cycle – lead generation to closure along the area of assessment studies and research
  • Prepare proposals/presentation and pitch deck
  • Work on industry specific solution
  • Networking, partnership and collaboration
  • Work in coordination with various functions – Finance, HR, Admin, IT etc.

Project Management (60% of the time)

  • Overall management and execution of the projects
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of research assignments.
  • Hire and deploy team for research assignments/Engage vendors for data collection on need basis
  • Guide data collection team and other research associates
  • Address operation/implementation related bottleneck/challenge
  • Managing Internal Audits for Process, Product & System to ensure process compliance.

Thought leadership (10% of the time)

  • Assist in writing/publication of thought notes
  • Participate in knowledge/discussion forums, representing foundation work
    Any other work assigned by the reporting manager of head of the foundation.
