Program Manager – Education – Centum Foundation

Centum Foundation is a society registered under the ‘Societies Registration Act, 1860’ and is engaged in delivering CSR projects across India. It’s a CSR arm of Centum Learning Ltd. (upGrad group company – https://www.upgrad.com/about/).
Centum Foundation carries out social activities of national importance including Skills & Employability, Livelihood and Education. Centum has impacted 60,000+ lives through its 70+ CSR projects. The foundation is in the phase of accelerated growth and looking for team members who could be a part this journey.

• Minimum 6 years of work experience in the field of education & related field with at-least 2-3 years in consulting/fund raising for education projects
• Should have sound knowledge of the education eco-system with at-least 3 years of experience working in the education sector. S/he should be able to present his/her perspective in the education sector
• Should have MBA/Post Graduate from reputed institute/top institute such as XISS/IRMA/XIMB/TISS etc.
• Experience of end to end project execution – preparation of work-plan, implementation strategy, team on-boarding, implementation, monitoring, reporting, project related compliance, client management
• Excellent communication (speaking and writing) skills in English. Reading & speaking ability in Hindi
• Experience of preparing/writing winning proposals for CSRs/multilateral development agencies in the area of education
• Networking, partnership and collaboration skills with proven ability of having strategic partnership/s in the past.
• Should be proficient in using Microsoft Office especially excel, power-point
• Good connects in the social sector esp. with the CSR, philanthropic organizations, institutional donors, NGOs, Government departments etc.

• Preference would be given to candidates who have worked in consulting agency and for education-related projects
• Spoken on forums/webinars on education Or have written thought notes/publication on education
• Leadership skills with ability to establish short & long term goals for the business vertical
• Should have led a team of professional. Team building skills with proven ability of nurturing & mentoring teams in the past.
• Dealing with complexity and ability to lay down clear road maps on the current operation and growth of the vertical
• Ability to build in best practices and innovative approach in work stream
• Understanding of funding pattern and trend in the industry

Business Development/Fund raising (50% of the time)

• Assist in developing growth strategies and plans for the vertical and towards its growth
• Build and manage relationships with social sector clients – CSR, philanthropic organization, international agencies, government. Ensure upselling and cross selling
• Write business proposals/presentation
• End to end BD & project execution cycle – lead generation to closure
• Work on industry specific solution
• Search business opportunities with viable income & increase the client base.
• Networking, partnership and collaboration
• Identify new areas other than skilling where Centum Foundation can work under CSR, philanthropy and government welfare programs
• Work in coordination with other business verticals and key functions – Finance, HR, Admin, IT etc

Project Management (40% of the time)

• Overall management and execution for the projects
• Maintaining and preparing proper reports to be shared with internal & external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely & quality implementation of projects. Focus on adding value
• Guide team members towards work execution and pitch-in wherever required
• Address operation/implementation related bottleneck/challenge
• Managing Internal Audits for Process, Product & System to ensure process compliance.

Thought leadership (10% of the time)

• Work/publication of thought notes
• Participate in knowledge/discussion forums, representing foundation work
• Any other work assigned by the reporting manager or head of the foundation.
