The incumbent will be responsible for developing identifying and developing content for various sales and services offerings. The content could be on varied topics in the sales and services, people development and leadership domain. The content could be in various forms and could be required in different aspects of sales and service academy training and development.

The content could be developed on varied topics and different aspects of learning. The content design would be in line with adult learning methodologies, preferences of learners and nature of subjects and desired outcomes. One would require to develop assessment, tools, teaching decks, teaching cases, Case Videos, Games based learning products and so on. The individual will proactively keep oneself abreast of the program design methodologies and identify the changes in the learning preferences of learners and thereafter customize the content accordingly. The individual in this role will be continuously researching and identifying ways, tools and technology for efficient content design and for offerings that are ahead of the current customer requirements.

The individual will bring in a deep understanding of sales and services concepts and subject matter expertise. The individual will be jointly involved in live market research along with the research experts for enabling the team to be on top of the customer needs and changing requirements. S/he will support in developing insights for thought leadership and will use insights for content design.

Shall be responsible for quality check and quality enhancement through regular assessments and quality enhancement discussions and initiatives. Shall be in regular discussion with trainers assessing and Learners to gather inputs on quality of content and delivery challenges and incorporate inputs for enhancing the quality of content design. S/he shall create resources for standardizing training delivery, developing Training Kits, Trainer’s Manual, Assessment Kit, and Assessment reports etc.

Shall develop reports on various offerings from centum learning, various partners and trainers and provide overall insights to the management and suggest new measures.

Shall develop content leveraging industry perspective in sales and services domain. Shall use various techniques to blend in the overall training content. Maintain relationship with industry for capturing current trends and preferences. Support research and analysis lead by connecting the researchers to industry thought leaders for research and thought leadership activities

The individual shall work in collaboration with the research leader for developing tools and content for the Sales and Services Academy. One would work on other varied initiatives as and when assigned. Shall work closely with CLO and provide support in developing framework and strategy for sales and services academy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of Sales and Services Practices and Leadership Development Frameworks and contents.
  • Exposure to competency assessments, concepts of competencies and competency framework.
  • Experience in content development for online and offline learning solutions in the sales and services area.
  • Understanding of changing pulse of learning style and needs in the industry in sales and services area.
  • Exposure to training evaluation and development of evaluation tools for quality assessment of training delivery, content and other L&D interventions.
  • At ease with the use of technology for Content Design
  • Should have worked in the learning and development area and have hands-on experience in content designing both for VILTs and ILTs.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience of working in Sales and Services Training Function or L&D function of FMCGs, handling learning and development of front lines/ mid-level sales professionals.

Desirable Attributes

  • Hands-on experience in the sales function.
  • Exposure to sales training will be an added advantage.
  • Certifications in psychometric assessments, content design, competency assessments and framework or in technical / coding skills will be an added advantage

Target Industry/Sector

  • Consulting Firm: Part of L&D Functions focusing handling design of content for Sales and Services area from FMCGs, Manufacturing, BSFI, Retails of Consulting Firms like – Accenture, Korn Ferry, Neilson, Hay, E&Y and the likes

Key Responsibility Areas

Some of the key responsibilities areas (not limited to these) would be the following:

  • Designing programs and content for offerings of sales and services academy
  • Ideate and develop content for other innovative products, programs and offerings for the academy
  • Working closely with technical support in designing innovative content for both online and offline offerings of sales and services academy
  • Regular assessments and enhancement of training content and delivery
  • Aligning with Product Design Team for running quality enhancement surveys and feedback processes for Sales and Services Content, Products and other offerings

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual with good communication skills; will have varied industry experience in Sales and Services function/ Leadership Development and Training Function.  Would have analytical approach with strong understanding of sales and services practice and leadership development insights. The individual will possess the ability to work independently and in teams.
