This intervention was implemented across 6 states of India- Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal. As a part of this intervention, over 200+ teachers from government schools were upskilled and made capable of teaching future technologies to young aspiring students.
Microsoft Digital Skills Program
The program under Microsoft grant was an intervention created to build on to the existing knowledge of the technology of students in XI and XII standard (trained under the āVocationalization of school education schemeā) in the IT/ITeS sector by working on their cognitive and non-cognitive abilities and encouraging the students towards making a career in the technology space. The primary aim of this intervention was to give a taste of future skills to the students from underserved communities in rural and semi-urban areas by introducing them to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning etc. so that their interest in the technology space is piqued and they opt for STEM-based careers post their schooling. Career counselling was done for these students to identify the options available in the technology field after they finish their schooling.
