Standard Training & Assessment Reward (STAR) Scheme
Towards the mission of building a skilled and employable India, Centum Learning has taken yet another leap by rolling out Government of India’s recently launched National Skill Certificate and Monetary Reward scheme.
Finance Minister, P Chidambaram, while presenting the Union Budget 2013-14 announced a monetary reward scheme aimed at encouraging youth to voluntarily join the skill development programmes. The Standard Training & Assessment Reward or STAR Scheme provides monetary reward to candidates on successful completion of programme and certification thereafter. The monetary reward will be wholly funded by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and will be affected through direct bank transfer to the beneficiaries' accounts. It is hence mandatory for the enrolling candidates to possess Aadhaar Card before assessment and certification is completed.

Training programmes under the scheme are intended to develop and certify skills against industry standards. The assessment and certification processes involved are based on rigorous norms as per National Occupational Standards. Centum Learning is partnering with National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and respective Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) in this ambitious scheme to provide youth with an unmatched opportunity to get certified and get back the money invested in training & certification. Under the scheme, Centum Learning offers skills training on Industry recognized courses in order to orient and skill the youth on diverse job roles across priority employment sectors including, Sales in Telecom and Organized Retail, Customer Service skills in BPO, Telecom Installation & Fault Repair, Telecom Tower Equipment Operations & Maintenance, Gems & Jewellery, etc.
