Centum Learning Multi-Skill Development Centre to Enable Employment Opportunities For Jehanabad Youth

Centum Learning launched a Multi-Skill Development Centre in Jehanabad in partnership with the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). The Centre will enable employment opportunities for youth in the district. The opening of this Centre is expected to make a significant impact on making youth job ready in what is one of the most backward districts in the country. Centum Learning, India’s first skilling MNC, partnered the Ministry of Rural Development for this project.

The DDU-GKY is the skilling and placement initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. The scheme focuses on addressing the occupational aspirations of rural youth and enhancing their skills for wage employment. At the Centum Learning Multi-Skill Development Centre candidates will be skilled in two job roles – Retail Sales and Customer Care. These courses have a very high demand in market among employers.

Skilling India : Mission Possible

Decades back, Mahatma Gandhi said, “The soul of India lives in its villages”. It’s true & even more crucial today. While India’s economic progress has happened in few cities & select metros, the potential & opportunity at the bottom of pyramid – the rural market is now waiting to be harnessed.
