Centum Learning participated in the Commonwealth Business Forum 2013, Colombo

Dr Raj Dravid, COO & Head Operations- Africa & Middle East, Centum Learning represented Centum Learning in the Employability Round table held recently at the Common Wealth Business Forum in Sri Lanka.

The conference focused on ways and means to promote employability across markets through vocational education and skill development. Dr. Dravid addressed an eminent gathering of delegates from reputed organizations in the education sector, including Roy Newey, Director, UK, Pitman Training, Amiul Islam Khan, Regional Director, Commonwealth Secretariat, Beth Watson, Education Director, Microsoft Cooperation Singapore, Bill Twig, Apprenticeship Director, SEMTA, Vinod Vohra, Chairman, Repro India Ltd., etc. Speaking at a session on education & skill development, he remarked that vocational training could bridge the widespread economic disparity across India and the world. Bringing quality into vocational training would require concerted approach to tackle key issues like lack of quality trainers, lack of innovative approaches to training, migration related issues, poor national curricula and standards, and technology related challenges.
